This beautiful custom road bike has a full True Temper S3 steel frame. The frame weight is 1280g. The bike is built with a full Shimano Dura Ace group including the scandium rimmed clincher wheels. A Chris King headset, FSA OS-99 stem and FSA Energy bar complete the bike. The paint is metallic white with dark candy red and gray details.
I just finished off two big bikes for some bigger riders. Both are nice, fast road bikes with a bit more relaxed positioning, room for bigger tires if required, and fitting for rear racks for light touring. The orange bike is a steel frame with a carbon fork, and the other bike is titanium with a carbon rear triangle and fork.
I am still trying to work through a couple of builds during the move. I don’t want to be too much behind schedual going into April. This is the beginning of an True Temper S3 road frame. Just for kicks I weighted out the tubeset before and after mitring. It appears I cut almost 200 grams off the medium size tubeset. The welds look particularly nice - it must be because I have been building so many titanium frames lately.
Here is another preview of the Toronto International Bike Show bikes. The bike is a custom Ti road frame with a carbon rear end. The titanium main tubes are shaped and butted. The bike is built up with full Dura-Ace, FSA OS-115 stem, Salsa Pro Road Bar, carbon seatpost and a Flight Max Gelflow saddle. The frame is matched to a True Temper Alpha Q CS20 full carbon fork.
